There are no words for this kind of grief.
We said goodbye to Jenny five months ago today.
That’s 5 months… just under 22 weeks. That’s a thousand times expecting to see her around the house.
That’s 152 mornings without her curled up with me. That’s 304 meals without a huge party just because foodwas the best thing ever in Jenny’s world.
I realize, in many ways, that I am lucky. I had some time to prepare for this. I’m blessed to have a job that permitted me to take some time off to spend with her before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. her favorite people got to have their time with her, including snuggles and love and special treats.
I don’t take those blessings lightly.
But I still, after all these months, can’t believe that Jeny, a dog with a heart as large as Canada, and the energy to fill a room even in her sleep, is gone.
I’ve written before about her… a lot about her. And there’s so much more I could write. Maybe I’ll come back and give her the tribute she has earned.
But I’m not ready yet.
There are no words.
so sorry to hear of Jenny’s passing, it is heartbreaking when we lose them, I lost my boy in 2023, I miss him every single day!
